Features to know about

Stay in Control on Windy Highways: Integrated 2-Point Sway Control

Nothing ruins a towing trip faster than trailer sway when a truck passes or a side wind hits. The Curt TruTrack 2P keeps everything steady with its built-in sway control. Steel-on-steel friction at two key tension points resists movement to hold your trailer in line. This integrated setup means there’s no extra sway bar to hook up or disconnect, just a simple, solid system that does the job every mile you drive.

Tame Trailer Bounce and Rear Sag: Weight Distribution That Levels Your Ride

A level rig makes towing safer and smoother. The TruTrack system uses trunnion spring bars and clamp-on sway control brackets to evenly distribute tongue weight across all the axles. Rated for 500 lbs – 800 lbs of tongue weight and up to 8,000 lbs gross towing weight, it transfers load off the rear and onto the front wheels, restoring normal ride height and improving steering. The result is a stable, balanced setup that pulls straight and feels planted on the road.

Simple Adjustments Without the Hassle: No Washers, No Chains

Dialing in the right head tilt is easy thanks to the pivot-point tilt adjustment built into the hitch head—no more stacking washers to find the right angle. The rigid bracket design keeps the spring bars locked in position, so there’s no chain rattle or unwanted flex. Snap pins secure everything quickly, and the clamp-on brackets mount directly to frames up to 6" high and 4" wide with no drilling needed.

Built Strong and Ready to Tow: Forged Steel Construction with Durable Finish

Every component in the TruTrack 2P is designed for long-term reliability. The forged steel head, trunnion bars, and brackets give the system serious strength for consistent performance. It’s topped with a black carbide powder coat to resist corrosion and wear. The kit includes the head assembly, 2" × 2" shank, 2-5/16" hitch ball, sway control brackets, spring bars, snap-up handle, pins, clips, and hardware—everything you need to get it set up and ready to tow.

After a year of use, we are very pleased with this product. It has helped tremendously when traveling with strong crosswinds. Once properly adjusted to our trailer (Forest River 23MKBL), it has made towing very comfortable. It’s easy to hookup and unhook. We have noticed the weight distribution bar L-pins are subject to high stress in serious crosswinds and may need to be replaced, which shows they do the job expected. Overall, we definitely recommend this weight distribution system for the stated GTW and TW.

by:

Curt wds works great. Easy installation,28' travel trailer pulls good with it. Thanks e-trailer!

by:

All items arrived quickly. I will be installing tomorrow thank you.

by:

Took a couple of hours to set up. just took a 1000mile trip and it worked perfectly. No more bouncing, very little sway with passing trucks. This unit was installed on a 2022 Honda Ridgeline towing a 16 foot Keystone 1320RD. The trucks rear now only sagged 1 inch and the front raised 1/2 inch, for more normal driving.

by:

It is a great product but unfortunately it would not work on my trailer because the hitch height on the trailer is to low to the ground.

by:

Order arrived a day early, and in great shape. I drove 571 miles and picked up a camper I found a great deal on marketplace. I had done some pre-scouting with the videos on e-trailer, as well as reviewing the documentation carefully and then pre-installing my hitch ball before I left. Did the full install/setup on my Tacoma at a campground the next morning after picking up the trailer, and everything went very smooth. Took me about 1.5 hours for full install and adjustments (me taking my time). It pulled the whole way home great, and was exactly what I expected! Happy with my purchase. :-)

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch for 2022 Keystone Springdale Mini 1750RD
Hey Michelle! There are definitely a lot of different weight distribution hitch (WDH) options out there. The most important thing is to make sure it is properly rated for the tongue weight of your setup. Looking at the specs for the 2022 Keystone Springdale Mini 1750RD it has a dry (unloaded) tongue weight of 520 lbs and a GVWR of 4,400 lbs. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight so at the high end, fully loaded, you're going to be around 660 lbs. For occasional,...

  • Looking For Budget Friendly Weigh Distribution Hitch To Pull 5K Dump Trailer
Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out. We do have a good option for that. I recommend the following: - Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 8K GTW, 800 lb TW # C95MJ It’s designed for lighter trailers with 500–800 lbs of tongue weight, which puts you right in the sweet spot for what you’re hauling. It’s simple to set up, not overly heavy to handle, and does a good job keeping the truck level and stable without spending big money. Just keep in mind...

  • Does Nissan Xterra Need Weight Distribution When Towing Intech Flyer Explore
Hey Jeff, I looked up the weight of an Intech Flyer Explore relative to the towing capacity of your 2009 Nissan Xterra and you'd be right at where I would start to strongly recommend a weight distribution system. I won't lie to you and tell you its something you have to have or anything like that but it will do a great job reducing rear suspension sag, improve braking, and also handling so it's a worthwhile investment for sure. For that a simple system like the Curt # C95MJ would be a...

  • Best Weight Distribution Hitch For 2025 Chevy Blazer Hauling Forest River R-Pod RP-190
Hey Bob, thanks for reaching out. Yes, I do think that setup will benefit from a weight distribution hitch. The camper isn't super heavy, but the Blazer could undoubtedly use some help handling it and a WD hitch will really help level things out. That will in turn improve stability and braking and make those trips a lot more comfortable. For your Forest River R-Pod RP-190 I recommend the following: - Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 8K GTW, 800...

There isn't a kit with a 2.5" shank, but you can add Curt Weight Distribution Shank for 2.5" Hitches - 9-1/4" or 10" Drop - 13" Rise # C17132 to swap to a shank that won't require a reducer and then you'll also have the original 2" shank in case you ever need to use this weight distribution system with another...

  • Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2021 Keystone Passport SL 239ML
Hey Riley, the best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off the loaded tongue weight of the trailer. I looked up your 2021 Keystone Passport SL 239ML and it's going to have a tongue weight of around 600 lbs so Curt TruTrack 2p part # C95MJ would be a great option that is rated properly. So any time the trailer weighs more than 50 percent of the towing capacity of the vehicle it's a great idea to use a WD system as it will reduce sag but also improve handling and...

  • Weight Distribution for 500lbs Tongue Weight and Most Ground Clearance
Hey Russ, For your Legend Deluxe v-nose trailer, you can use Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C95MJ. I like this one for you because your tongue weight rating falls in between the minimum and maximums of 500-800 lbs. and because it can give you a maximum rise of 6", so your ground clearance will be no worry. This weight distribution hitch will also allow you to back up, so it's great for use in those tight spots and loading and unloading the trailer. You'll...

  • Will The Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System C69JR Work With 2026 Jayco FLIGHT SLX 170BH?
Hey Justin, thanks for reaching out. We can definitely get you a weight distribution hitch for your 2026 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 170BH, but the Curt # C69JR you mentioned is a bit overrated for that setup. That is for trailers with a tongue weight between 800 and 1,000 lbs, and your camper will realistically be around 400-600 lbs with batteries and fuel and stuff. Instead, I recommend the Curt TruTrack 2P # C95MJ. This is for 500-800 lb tongue weight and your camper should be right within...

  • Curt Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2019 Jayco Jayfeather X213

Since the GVWR of your 2019 Jayco Jay Feather X213 is 5,500 lb a system like the Curt TruTrack part # C95MJ would work really well since it has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs. • Choosing Between Equal-i-zer and Curt Weight Distribution Hitch
Hey Mark, welcome back! This is very much a case of "you get what you pay for." The Curt TruTrack 2P # C95MJ you looked at is a good option if you tow your trailer a short distance once or twice a year. If you tow with any frequency and you really want to keep everything nice and level while reducing sway the Equal-i-zer is definitely the way to go. They have been in the weight distribution business for over 75 years and they're considered one of the best out there. Do you know your tongue...

  • What Is The Best Way To Reduce Tongue Weight
Hey Vernon, The best way to reduce tongue weight if you have to much is using a weight distribution system like # C95MJ. This system is going to evenly distribute the weight between the trailer and the towing vehicle taking stress off of the rear axle of your vehicle. This is the best way to get that trailer tongue weight lower and reduce the sag on your tow vehicle. Let me know what kind of trailer you are towing with what vehicle and I can find the best system for your setup.
